- 7.1मय्यासक्तमनाः पार्थ योगं युञ्जन्मदाश्रयः ।Krishna invites Arjuna to understand him completely through devotion, yoga, and surrender.
- 7.2ज्ञानं तेऽहं सविज्ञानमिदं वक्ष्याम्यशेषतः ।Krishna promises a complete teaching that leaves no essential gap.
- 7.3मनुष्याणां सहस्रेषु कश्चिद्यतति सिद्धये ।Krishna says both sincere effort and deep realization are rare.
- 7.4भूमिरापोऽनलो वायुः खं मनो बुद्धिरेव च ।Krishna lists the lower material nature that makes up the visible and mental world.
- 7.5अपरेयमितस्त्वन्यां प्रकृतिं विद्धि मे पराम् ।Beyond matter there is a higher divine nature that gives life and support to the world.
- 7.6एतद्योनीनि भूतानि सर्वाणीत्युपधारय ।All life comes from these two aspects of nature, and Krishna stands behind both creation and dissolution.
- 7.7मत्तः परतरं नान्यत्किञ्चिदस्ति धनञ्जय ।Krishna says everything depends on him as its supporting reality.
- 7.8रसोऽहमप्सु कौन्तेय प्रभास्मि शशिसूर्ययोः ।Krishna is present as the essential life and beauty within the things we experience every day.
- 7.9पुण्यो गन्धः पृथिव्यां च तेजश्चास्मि विभावसौ ।Krishna identifies himself with the subtle purity and vitality present in creation.
- 7.10बीजं मां सर्वभूतानां विद्धि पार्थ सनातनम् ।Krishna is the hidden source of life, wisdom, and radiance in all beings.
- 7.11बलं बलवतां चाहं कामरागविवर्जितम् ।Krishna distinguishes between pure strength and desire that supports right living.
- 7.12ये चैव सात्त्विका भावा राजसास्तामसाश्च ये ।The three qualities of nature arise from Krishna, though Krishna is beyond being limited by them.
- 7.13त्रिभिर्गुणमयैर्भावैरेभिः सर्वमिदं जगत् ।People miss Krishna because they are absorbed in the shifting qualities of nature.
- 7.14दैवी ह्येषा गुणमयी मम माया दुरत्यया ।The world of illusion is hard to overcome without surrender to Krishna.
- 7.15न मां दुष्कृतिनो मूढाः प्रपद्यन्ते नराधमाः ।When ignorance is deep, people resist surrender and fall into destructive patterns.
- 7.16चतुर्विधा भजन्ते मां जनाः सुकृतिनोऽर्जुन ।People come to God for different reasons, and all of them can begin on a spiritual path.
- 7.17तेषां ज्ञानी नित्ययुक्त एकभक्तिर्विशिष्यते ।The wisest devotee is the one who stays continuously connected and single-hearted toward Krishna.
- 7.18उदाराः सर्व एवैते ज्ञानी त्वात्मैव मे मतम् ।Krishna honors all seekers, but sees the wise devotee as especially close to him.
- 7.19बहूनां जन्मनामन्ते ज्ञानवान्मां प्रपद्यते ।Full realization may take many lives, but when it arrives it sees Krishna as all-pervading.
- 7.20कामैस्तैस्तैर्हृतज्ञानाः प्रपद्यन्तेऽन्यदेवताः ।When desire dominates, people seek limited forms of fulfillment instead of the highest truth.
- 7.21यो यो यां यां तनुं भक्तः श्रद्धयार्चितुमिच्छति ।Krishna supports the faith of a sincere worshiper even when the form of devotion is limited.
- 7.22स तया श्रद्धया युक्तस्तस्याराधनमीहते ।Even when people receive what they ask from another form, Krishna says the deeper source of the fulfillment is still the Divine.
- 7.23अन्तवत्तु फलं तेषां तद्भवत्यल्पमेधसाम् ।Limited worship brings limited results, while devotion to Krishna leads to Krishna.
- 7.24अव्यक्तं व्यक्तिमापन्नं मन्यन्ते मामबुद्धयः ।People misunderstand Krishna when they reduce the divine to visible form alone.
- 7.25नाहं प्रकाशः सर्वस्य योगमायासमावृतः ।Krishna is present but not always recognized because ordinary perception is limited.
- 7.26वेदाहं समतीतानि वर्तमानानि चार्जुन ।Krishna's awareness is complete, while human knowledge remains partial.
- 7.27इच्छाद्वेषसमुत्थेन द्वन्द्वमोहेन भारत ।Human life is quickly pulled into likes and dislikes, which cloud clear awareness.
- 7.28येषां त्वन्तगतं पापं जनानां पुण्यकर्मणाम् ।When purification ripens, devotion becomes steady and free from inner division.
- 7.29जरामरणमोक्षाय मामाश्रित्य यतन्ति ये ।The seeker who longs for liberation and leans on Krishna comes to understand the deeper whole of reality.
- 7.30साधिभूताधिदैवं मां साधियज्ञं च ये विदुः ।A mind that has truly known Krishna can remain steady at death and recognize him in the final moment.
