सुखदुःखे जन्म मृत्यू दैवादेवेति निश्चयी, साध्यादर्शी निरायासः कुर्वन्नपि न लिप्यते। ॥4॥
sukha-duḥkhe janma mṛtyū daivād-eveti niścayī, sādhyādarśī nirāyāsaḥ kurvannapi na lipyate. (4)
This verse teaches that when a person truly realizes that happiness and sorrow, as well as life and death, come from their past actions, they stop chasing after typical life goals. They become free from striving and remain unattached, even while taking action in the world.
