Chapter 5
- 5.1न ते सङ्गोऽस्ति केनापि किं शुद्धस्त्यक्तुमिच्छसि ।This verse suggests that your true self is untouched by anything external, so there is nothing to give up.
- 5.2उदेति भवतो विश्वं वारिधेरिव बुद्बुदः ।This verse suggests that the universe emerges from the divine source, much like bubbles form and rise from the ocean.
- 5.3प्रत्यक्षमप्यवस्तुत्वाद्विश्वं नास्त्यमले त्वयि ।This verse suggests that while the universe appears real, it is ultimately an illusion, similar to mistaking a rope for a snake.
- 5.4समदुःखसुखः पूर्ण आशानैराश्ययोः समः ।This verse teaches that a person who remains unchanged by joy or sorrow, success or failure, and life or death is truly wise.
