श्रुत्वाऽपि शुद्धचैतन्यमात्मानं अतिसुन्दरम्, उपस्थेऽत्यन्तसंसक्तो मालिन्यमधिगच्छति। ॥4॥
śrutvā'pi śuddha-caitanyam-ātmānaṁ atisundaram, upasthe'tyanta-saṁsakto mālinyam-adhigacchati. (4)
This verse suggests that even when we understand that our true nature is pure and beautiful consciousness, we can still find ourselves caught up in worldly desires and distractions, which can cloud that purity. It highlights the struggle between recognizing our true self and being drawn into material attachments.
