हरो यद्युपदेष्टा ते हरिः कमलजोऽपि वा, तथापि न तव स्वास्थ्यं सर्वविस्मरणादृते। ॥9॥
haro yadyupadeṣṭā te hariḥ kamalajo'pi vā, tathāpi na tava svāsthyaṁ sarva-vismaraṇād-ṛte. (9)
This verse emphasizes that no matter how wise or powerful your teacher may be, true understanding of the Self can only be attained by letting go of all attachments and preconceived notions. Only by forgetting everything else can you truly connect with your inner essence.
