गुणैः संवेष्टितो देहस्तिष्ठत्यायाति याति च, आत्मा न गन्ता नागन्ता किमेनमनुशोचसि। ॥7॥
guṇaiḥ saṁveṣṭito dehas-tiṣṭhatyāyāti yāti ca, ātmā na gantā nāgantā kim-enam-anuśocasi. (7)
This verse reminds us that the physical body is temporary and changes over time, while our true self remains constant and unchanging. Therefore, there is no need to grieve over the body's changes or loss.
